Happy New Year – January 2023 General Meeting

Happy New Year to all!

The next CPAAA General Meeting will be held at the station on Tuesday, January 10th at 7 p.m. Annual Dues are due this month. If you haven’t already paid, please remember to bring your completed 2023 form and your money. It is important that we have a completed form with your current contact information so we can ensure our files are up to date.

Election of Board Members – December 13, 2022

Offices available in the 2022 Election are Vice President, Treasurer and 2 Directors positions. Applications must be received by November 1, 2022 and can be sent by either email (jbcpaaa@gmail.com) or dropped off/ mailed to the station: Jacksonville Beach Police Department C/O CPAAA 101 South Penman Rd. Jacksonville Beach, FL 32250.

Annual Halloween Party 2022

Volunteers are needed to set up and work the Annual JBPD Halloween Party being held at the Community Center on 10/31/2022 from 5 – 7 p.m. Set up for the event will be at 2 p.m. Candy donations will be accepted at the station prior to the event.

CPAAA General Meeting – July 12, 2022

The next General Meeting of the CPAAA will be on Tuesday, July 12, 2022, 7 p.m. at 101 Penman Rd. S, Jacksonville Beach, FL.

Our July speaker will be Sarah Taylor from Blue Lives Matter Florida. She will be speaking about the organization and it’s mission. She will also be discussing the Annual Cpt. Lavender 5K event that will be held in August. If you would like to volunteer for this event, a signup sheet will be available at the meeting.

27th Annual Get Hooked On Fishing Not Drugs – May 14th, 2022

Volunteers are needed for the 27th Annual Get Hooked on Fishing Not Drugs event that will be held on Saturday, May 14th, 2022 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Huguenot Park, 3rd Street South and 19th Ave.

If you can volunteer to help set up tent for the event on Friday, May 13th at 10 a.m. or work the event on Saturday, May 14th, please contact Bill Ostrowski at WOstrowski@jaxbchfl.net for further information.

Citizen Police Academy Class XLVII

Applications are currently being accepted for session XLVII (47) of the Jacksonville Beach Citizen Police Academy!

  • HOW OFTEN: Every Thursday Night
  • WHEN: April 7, 2022 – June 30, 2022
  • WHAT TIME: 6:30 p.m. until 9:30 p.m.
  • WHERE: Jacksonville Beach Police Department, 101 Penman Road South, Jacksonville Beach, FL. 32250
  • COST: Only $25 (cash, checks, or money orders accepted)

Board of Director Positions

There are four positions (President, Secretary and 2 Director) up for election. Applications are due to Dottie Mullins by November 1st, 2021. Nominees will be vetted by the Election Committee, with bios posted in the November newsletter and applicants presented at the November Meeting (11/9/2021). The election will be held on Tuesday, December 14, 2021.
